BTCCSquare news:

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has dismissed its lawsuit against Nader Al-Naji, founder of the decentralized social media project DeSo. The decision follows a joint agreement between the SEC and Al-Naji, marking a significant retreat by the regulator.

Originally filed in July 2024, the case alleged violations of securities laws through activities tied to DeSo. The dismissal extends to relief defendants including family members and associated entities like Intangible Holdings LLC and the DeSo Foundation.

Regulators reassessed the evidence before concluding dismissal was appropriate. The move signals potential recalibration of SEC enforcement strategies in decentralized projects.
